Hamdan bin Rashid launches MoH web portal

Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, launched the new electronic web portal of the Ministry of Health on the sidelines of the Arab Health Exhibition and Conference that ended Thursday.

The launch of the ministry's new web portal took place at the ministry's stand in Sheikh Rashid Hall, DWTC. It was attended by Dr Hanif Hassan Ali, UAE Minister of Health, ministry's top management and a number of officials from the medical public and private sectors as well as heads of international delegations.

The minister of health said: "The new web portal raises the health awareness of community members through the dissemination of valuable information and health education in addition to a variety of services that would provide informative visions about medical practices, health policies and legislations".

He stated that the web portal assists the audience to get a comprehensive vision about the performance of the Ministry of Health and its efforts towards achieving the federal government strategy.

The ministry's new web portal will gradually include an electronic surveillance system of infectious diseases, latest health advertisements and other programs that would aim for automating the transactions of customers.

The new portal issues new versions of the best technological and communication ways with the society, medical providers and medical districts through customer relationship management and latest web solutions.

The Ministry of Health's portal aims at raising the health awareness of community members and applying the best international practices in the healthcare fields and health policies in the UAE. The visitors can also review the latest news releases, events, services and information through the web portal. Any user can enter the new website, surf and view its sections to be introduced to the latest healthcare services of the ministry.

Ahmed Mohammed Al Sulaiteen, Project Manager, stated that the benefits of the new portal have diversified and accurate information pointing out that the websites provides new information about the activities of the Ministry of Health and other related information. It is also in both Arabic and English languages to enable visitors review the website in both languages.

The website's "contact us" section assists the user to communicate with the ministry for any enquiries or suggestions it also provides health newsletter to help the community members obtain general information about the diseases and symptoms and the best way for their treatment or consultation.

He said the web portal gives visitors the health guidelines and the service of fast response to health programs that may occur for any visitor. Our electronic services will lead to the automation of the ministry's comprehensive services to speed the time of transactions and overcome all difficulties.

"The new web portal consists of: electronic immunization system, medical licensing system as well as other programs and systems. It also gives all visitors several benefits, easy monitoring and access to information", he concluded.
