Hamdan's 'Burj Khalifa dressed in UAE Flag' share goes viral

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, posted this picture on his Instagram account, showing the Burj Khalifa tower adorned in the colours of the UAE flag on Flag Day.

The picture has gone viral since.

 

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, said the UAE flag will remain a symbol of pride and dignity, and it is a source of pride for all nationals.

He was speaking at the Dubai Police Academy headquarters, reminding all citizens of the efforts made by the founding fathers, which has resulted in many successes, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

Maktoum celebrates UAE Flag Day with officials of Dubai Judicial Authority

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, has asserted that the UAE Flag Day is a national celebration that promotes stronger bonds between the leadership and citizens and provides an opportunity to remember the efforts of the country’s founding fathers.

Sheikh Maktoum congratulated the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,  and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, on the occasion.

He also congratulated the UAE people, wishing them greater progress and prosperity. He made these remarks at the UAE Flag Day celebrations held at the headquarters of the Dubai Courts and Dubai Public Prosecution. Members of the Dubai Judicial Authority attended the ceremony.

Sheikh Maktoum hoisted the UAE flag in front of the Dubai Courts and Dubai Public Prosecution office in the presence of Dubai Attorney General Issam Al Humaidan, Managing Director of Dubai Courts, Taresh Eid Mohammad Al Mansouri, members of Dubai Judicial Council, members of Dubai Courts and members of the Public Prosecution and cadets from Dubai Police Academy performed a military parade.

'Dignity, pride, achievements'

Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said celebrating UAE Flag Day is a glorious national event that marks unity of our people, singing together with one voice “Long live my country, live United, our Emirates, the flag lives on”.

During the ceremony held on Tuesday to raise the UAE flag over the Ministry of Interior’s building, Sheikh Saif said, “This is an opportunity to renew our pledge of loyalty to the country’s wise leadership and our sacred land, to keep the flag aloft, as a symbol of dignity, pride and achievement.”

“As we celebrate the UAE’s Flag Day, which marks the day His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was sworn in as President, we cannot but remember the efforts of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God rest his soul, founder of the country, who built a modern state; paved the way for a better future and initiated its journey of independence, freedom and prosperity,” he added.

This sends a message to the world that the people of the UAE are united around their leaders. “It also embodies the sincere love of the people for their country and leader, as well as their pride, belonging and loyalty to the homeland,” emphasized Sheikh Saif.

Recruits from the Abu Dhabi Police College, along with members of the Special Security Forces (K7), the Directorate of Traffic and Patrols, Security Support, Women Police, Police Schools, and the Directorate General of Guard and Special Tasks took part in the ceremony.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, hoisted the UAE flag outside the Emirates Group headquarters in the presence of a large number of senior officials and employees of the group.

Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of National Media Council (NMC) on Tuesday said the UAE Flag Day has great significance as it shows national pride in the journey of overall development and empowerment taking place in the UAE under the directives of the leaders.

The minister noted that raising the flag above all government buildings simultaneously also sends across the message that the people and government of the UAE take pride in their history, unity and achievements, that we all continue to walk in the footsteps of the founding fathers, namely the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who gave all his time and effort to serve the country and citizens.

UAE Flag Day is an opportunity to recall UAE's noble principles, values: Hazza bin Zayed

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, on Tuesday described the UAE Flag Day as an occasion that all Emiratis wait every year to express their love and loyalty to their country.

The day is another opportunity to recall the noble principles and values on which the UAE was built by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the Rulers of the Emirates on the foundations of love, peace and goodness, he added.

Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed attends UAE Flag celebration


Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, on Tuesday praised President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for empowering the UAE as a union and supporting its progress and development in all spheres, while speaking during the celebrations at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court to mark the UAE Flag Day.

Sheikh Hamed noted that the occasion serves as a call to make more efforts, achieve excellence and show dedication to work to keep the national flag flying high in all fields.

UAE Foreign Minister attends flag-raising ceremony

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, on Tuesday attended a ceremony to raise the UAE national flag at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mark the UAE Flag Day.

He described the UAE Flag Day as an occasion that is dear to the hearts of all Emiratis, reflects national values and promotes the wise vision of the country's leaders.

Sheikh Abdullah said that the UAE Flag Day, an initiative aimed at promoting the national identity of the country, symbolises national pride, dignity and the principles of unity and belonging.

He added he was proud of Emiratis and expatriates who showed their love and loyalty to the UAE and its leaders as they celebrated the flag as a symbol of glory and unity.

"Despite all challenges that we are facing, we see how mature the UAE has become and the noble initiative of nationals and expatriates to raise the UAE flag to recall the efforts made by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the other founding fathers.

UAE Ambassador in London participates in UAE Flag Day
