The Northern Emirates will shower gold as community malls Ajman, Fujairah and Sharjah City Centre celebrate the New Year with a Gold Festival.

Throughout the month of January, shoppers making purchases at any of the three malls stand a chance to take home one of 90, 24 carat gold bars weighing 30 grammes each, valued at over Dh400,000. With gold being a popular investment in this region and given the mall’s demographics, City Centre malls are giving residents in the community daily chances to own this precious metal.

“City Centre malls in the Northern Emirates are kicking off the New Year in glittering fashion with a gold festival that will reward three lucky shoppers with a 24 Carat gold bar every day,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Senior Director – Property Management, Shopping Malls for Majid Al Futtaim Properties. “We wanted to host a campaign that rewards our shoppers with something of long-term value, and so we’re excited to soon begin announcing the lucky daily winners of our customised pure gold bars.”

Shoppers only need to spend Dh150 at any store in Ajman, Fujairah and Sharjah City Centre from now until January 31 to be eligible to win the gold bars. Every day, three winners will be announced – one for each mall in Ajman, Fujairah and Sharjah, giving equal chance to shoppers in these markets. . All three malls will be splashed with gold decor, creating a glittering display of gold fortune that will remind shoppers of the exciting prizes to be won.

The three malls also have an interactive game on Facebook, ‘Golden Vault,’ for fans to try out their luck as well as a contest on Instagram for followers to win amazing prizes. More information is available at the malls Facebook and Instagram pages.

Ajman City Centre is the largest community mall in the emirate, offering 70 value-added shopping options and the largest Carrefour hypermarket.

Fujairah City Centre is the emirate’s premium shopping mall offering 105 stores, of which 85 per cent are unique to the community.

Sharjah City Centre houses more than 120 mid-market shopping options and also features a Magic Planet entertainment centre. The mall has just recently announced a Dh200 million expansion that will introduce 28 new stores and a multi-screen VOX Cinemas.
