Human Resources Ministry greets airport arrivals marking the International Workers' Day

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation received several workers upon their arrival at the Dubai International Airport Terminal 1 on Sunday April 30th, 2017, handing them cases to mark "International Workers' Day".

The cases included souvenirs, as well as law awareness pamphlets printed in several languages to educate workers about their rights and duties in the UAE, following labour relation laws and highlighting relevant decrees.

Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, welcomed International Workers' Day, celebrated on May 1st annually, with remarks on the importance of appreciating workers in the UAE and emphasising the active role they play in various sectors and their participation in the nation’s development process, as witnessed today.

Dr. Omar Al-Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for International Relations and Communications at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, attended the event alongside Maher Al Obed, Assistant Undersecretary of Inspectional Affairs, as they both welcomed workers and joined in the distribution of cases.

Sheikha Al Jarmin, Vice President - Corporate Security at the Dubai Airports, said, "Dubai airports welcome millions of workers coming to work in the UAE and provides them with the best services, in line with the vision of our government to mark a positive image about our nation worldwide."

Arriving workers expressed contentment upon their arrival and welcomed such initiatives with complete delight.
