IIMI to open campus in Ras Al Khaimah

The Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIMI) one of the prestigious business schools in Central India, will start offering its much sought after management education programmes in the UAE. Initially it will offer 300 seats for various management education programmes.

IIM is leading Indian business schools, created by the Indian Government. IIMI has partnered with UAE-based Global Education Mission FZ LLC (GEM) to launch full–fledged Academic programmes in management here.

GEM is a limited liability company under the Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (Raakia) for providing higher education of international standards in UAE.

The 193-acre campus is located at Amenity Centre, Al Jazeera Al Hamra, Ras Al Khaimah.

Dr N Ravichandran, Director, IIMI, said the curriculum will be adapted to the requirement of UAE and GCC market. The institure will initially focus on Indian and Emirati students.

Dr AS Ganesan, Managing Director, GEM, said: “The initial plans for UAE include three management programmes - The two flagship management programmes such as Post Graduate Programme (2-years regular) and PGPMX (Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives) (2-years week-end programme for working executives) which are currently being offered by IIM Indore in India and also a new five years’ integrated post-graduate programme.”

“We will provide the best of academic environment in a modern elegant manner with state of art facilities in Ras Al Khaimah. The school also offers transport facilities from other emirates," he added.

"The admission process is rigorous, students high academic excellence and extra-curricular achievements over the years would be given preference in the admission process,” Ravichandran added.
