The Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO) on Tuesday organised ‘Flags Garden’ at Kite Beach-Jumeirah, an initiative to mark the UAE Flag Day.

National Media Council office in Al Ain celebrates Flag Day

 

The office of the National Media Council and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development in Al Ain, celebrated Flag Day.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, GDRFA-Dubai celebrated UAE Flag Day, as an expression of national unity and patriotism.

UAE Armed Forces celebrate Flag Day

The GHQ of the UAE Armed Forces on Tuesday celebrated the UAE Flag Day.

Staff Major-General Salim Saeed Al Jaberi, Chief of Administration and Manpower at the GHQ, hoisted the UAE Flag at Al Maqta Camp in the presence of officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel.


By celebrating the UAE Flag Day, the Armed Forces renew allegiance to the leaders and the country.

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center celebrates Flag Day

The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) on Tuesday hosted a special ceremony at the headquarters of Al Oula Radio, a division of HHC, in Dubai Media City to celebrate the UAE Flag Day.

The national flag was raised by Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of HHC, in the presence of a large number of HHC and Al Oula staff members.

Fatima Arif Al Bannai, Manager of Al Oula Radio and the HHC Media Office, said, “The UAE Flag Day is an important occasion where we acknowledge the contributions of our leaders and celebrate our success as a nation. It’s a day for us to renew our national spirit and strengthen our sentiments of loyalty to our country."

Abu Dhabi University family celebrates UAE’s Flag Day

More than 500 students, faculty and staff of Abu Dhabi University joined the nation-wide celebrations of UAE Flag Day, hoisting the UAE flag at noon on the University’s Abu Dhabi campus and reciting the pledge of allegiance to their beloved nation and its wise leadership.

Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University, Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, said, “Hoisting the UAE flag allows our students to express their pride in their national identity, and symbolises the unity of the nation in peace and justice.”

Kim, Drydocks World’s President and COO, personnel from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, and Dubai Customs, located at Drydocks World shipyard, raised three UAE flags followed by the playing of the national anthem, as staff expressed their love, loyalty and pride for this generous country.

The Department of Finance - Abu Dhabi, DoF, participated in the Flag Day celebrations for the third consecutive year.

Hamad Al Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Department of Finance, said: “Flag Day has become an annual celebration that marks pride, loyalty and a sense of belonging to the country and trust in its wise leadership. This day also represents UAE institutions’ commitment to develop the nation and strengthen its position as a beacon of civilisational humanity, pride and glory.”

The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs also took part in the national celebrations, with employees raising the flag in front of the administration’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, and at various land, sea and air customs centres in the emirate.

FANR raises flag in presence of management and staff

Staff at the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) gathered at noon to celebrate UAE Flag Day.

FANR Director-General, Christer Viktorsson, said, "We take great pride in participating in and supporting this initiative. The flag symbolises the UAE and its unity, those who raise it reflect the respect they feel for this country and their pride in its many considerable achievements over a very short period of time.”
