Interference is a dangerous challenge: Al Ghurair

The most dangerous challenges to Arab counties are not domestic but are rather represented by the interference of regional and international powers in their internal affairs, said Abul Aziz Abdullah Al Ghurair, Speaker of the Federal National Council.

These "regional and international powers violate the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other states" and they aim to destabilise other countries, to break their political unity and stable national entities and to hamper their economic and social growth", added Al Ghurair in a speech at the current 17th Arab Inter Parliamentary Union (AIPU) Conference in Doha, Qatar.

He added that "Arab parliamentarians are responsible for counteracting these foreign plots in line with the role AIPU plays." "It is not acceptable that AIPU only takes political positions and issues statement to denounce or to back (issues).... This alienates the Union from its Arab environment," Al Ghurair added.
