A Filipino university lecturer has been sentenced to five years of jail term for aiding a student with drugs.
CTT, 27, will be deported after serving his jail term.
The students involved in the case are being prosecuted before the juvenile court.
Lecturer CTT is also charged for taking drugs and was ordered to pay Dh20,000 fine.
According to the records, Mohammed Abdul Rahman, Police officer of Anti-narcotics department testified that the police received information about BM taking and possessing drugs.
After checking the authenticity of the information police arrested BM on June 30 and confiscated 0.43gms of crystal meth inside his wallet in the bedroom.
BM confessed to taking crystal methamphetamine and that he obtained the banned substance from CTT.
CCT along with a woman SF were present in the house at the time of the arrest. CTT denied the charges levied upon him by BM.
They tested positive when the two were also taken to police and samples of their urine was tested.
