A Saudi man who was killed in a road crash was buried while his smashed vehicle was buried next to his grave after parts of his body were mingled with the car.
The man was driving back home in the southwestern town of Shurura when he rammed into a truck last week, newspapers said.
“Relatives buried him and buried parts of his car next to his grave because parts of his body were mingled with the car during the accident,” Shurura News daily said.
It said the act had triggered anger among local dignitaries and Muslim scholars and quoted scholar Sheikh Talib Al Hamami as saying the victim’s relatives should have sought religious advice before doing this.
