'Martyrs Street' between Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah

In the implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, the road linking the emirates of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah, has been re-named as 'Martyrs Street', in memory of the martyrs who lost their lives while performing their national duty during the Saudi-led coalition 'Operation Restoring Hope' in support of the legitimate government of Yemen.

The renaming of the street is also a tribute to the acts of courage and sacrifice which the martyred Emirati servicemen embodied.

The launching ceremony of Martyrs Street, or 'Shuhada Street' in Arabic, was attended by Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director-General of Fujairah Municipality, Munther Mohammed Bin Shakar, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, and a number of other departmental directors from both institutions.
