Mohammed expresses pride at UAE’s progress

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed pride at the UAE’s achievement in climbing 12 places in the 2012 World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) rankings, regarding such advancement as the greatest ranking increase of any country.

Commenting through his official twitter account, Sheikh Mohammed wrote: “Proud that the UAE has jumped from 28th position to 16th in the 2012 World Competitiveness Yearbook rankings. UAE showed the biggest improvement”.

State Minister and Chairwoman of the Emirates Competitiveness Council Reem Al Hashemi stated that attaining such progress only reflects the UAE’s 2021 vision aiming to raise the citizen’s standards of living and ensure long-term prosperity of UAE, stressing that both public and private sector’s institutions in UAE are perusing continuous performance improvement.
