Molester to be deported after 6-month jail term

The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced a Pakistani assistant welder to six months in jail for molesting a Filipina.

MS, 36, will be deported after serving his jail term.

In previous hearing MS had denied molesting the 27-year-old saleswoman and stealing her mobile phone but admitted that he touched her by mistake when he put his hand forward as she was walking out of the lift.

According to the accusation sheet MS propped the woman and kissed her neck against her will and stole her mobile phone.

The victim testified that when she entered the lift of the building in Al Muraqqabat at around 11.30pm, a man entered behind her. “I got scared and turned back wanting to walk out of the lift. The man grabbed my arm and held me back to the wall. He molested me."

"I kicked him away...and as I grabbed my phone to call the police, he snatched and ran away," she said.
