Molester with alcohol on him, claims to be CID

The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced a Saudi businessman to six months in jail for molesting a Chinese saleswoman and posing as CID staff.

ASA, 42, was also ordered deportated after serving his jail term. He was referred to another court for consuming and possessing alcohol.

According to the records, the victim YA, testified that at around 2.30pm on June 30 and while she was at the entrance of the building where she stays, she was surprised by someone from behind who touched her bottom.

“I turned around and shouted at a man behind me in English 'What are you doing' and he replied in English 'I am police… but it seemed to me he was drunk,” she told prosecutors.

The woman screamed until residents and her husband came and caught the man until police arrived, arrested him and confiscated the alcohol with him.

“There was no one else in the entrance and he could have passed without touching me,” she testified.
