Monday morning jam for Dubai traffic

The holiday is well and truly over as Dubai denizens returned to a Monday morning with reports of several traffic jams across the city.

Residents reported of a minor accident on Sheikh Zayed Road, in front of Ibn Battuta Mall at 7.30am, heading towards Dubai.

Traffic jams were also reported snaking all the way into Karama, as morning commuters attempted to converge on to Sheikh Zayed from Bur Dubai.

Traffic snarls were also reported on Al Wasl Road, with many suggesting that the schools reopening post the seasonal holiday break was the main cause for the log jam, which saw cars come to a virtual standstill from Al Safa Park junction, all the way down to the Emirates NBD junction.
