Temperatures across the UAE dropped as rains lashed Dubai and Sharjah on Monday evening and most parts of the Emirates remained cloudy and breezy.

Internal areas were cooler with temperature ranging between 10 and 27 degree Celsius yesterday and is expected to get more chilly as light to moderate rain is expected in some parts over the next couple of days.

It was drizzling early morning today, said commuters driving to work. However, there were no traffic mishaps. "People were seen driving extremely slow," said a motorist who drives from Sarjah to Jebel Ali everyday.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology forecasters predict an increase in clouds, especially over some northern, coastal areas and surrounding islands in the next few days. This could result in light showers and strong winds.

Police have cautioned motorists to maintain speed limits on roads, especially at night and early morning hours and have warned beach-goers to listen to the weather forecasts before venturing into the sea.
