More than 5,000 illegal CDs destroyed
The National Media Council's Media Contents Department in Ras Al Khaimah has destroyed more than 5,000 illegally produced CDs, DVDs and cassettes containing songs and films in different languages.
The media materials were confiscated following a crackdown by the Department on video and audio shops in the different areas of Ras Al Khaimah.
The destruction of illegal materials came as part of the National Media Council's Vision and Mission, which stress the importance of adhering to the country's publication and copyrights laws.
