Multiple accidents jam traffic in Dubai, Sharjah

Morning commuters wake up to clogged roads and slow moving traffic on Sunday morning.

Dubai Police reported a major accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (SMBZR), that has slowed down traffic considerably.

“An #accident has been reported on SMBZR after workers area bridge towards Sharjah and there is traffic,” read the tweet on their official handle.

A resident added, “Crash on the 311 heading towards RAK 1km before National Paints.”

TrafficDXB twitter handle reported long delays ahead. “Crazy traffic on #SMBZR starting from Sports City approaching DIP roundabout towards #AbuDhabi. Long Delays!”

They added, “Heavy traffic &  long delays on E66 Oud Metha Rd towards Wafi / DIFC. Also heavy traffic on Zabeel Rd towards WTC. Plz drive with caution.”

Another commuter informed that Oud Mehta was also clogged. “Oudmetha exit towards #dhcc lots of traffic expect delays.”

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
