Rain reaches Al Ain... Is Dubai or Abu Dhabi next?

Rains lashed Al Ain on Tuesday with Jebel Hafeet and Yahar recording the highest rainfall and temperatures dipping to 27°C.

One traffic-related death was also reported from the emirate in the wake of unexpected showers.

Northern Emirates also witnessed strong winds and overcast skies. Khalifa Al Naimi, a resident of Al Ain, said visibility was reduced significantly and motorists had to drive very carefully, according to a report in Emarat Al Youm.

Meanwhile, the national weather bureau has forecast hot weather in general across the UAE today (Wednesday). Eastern and southern areas will by cloudy and strong winds may reduce visibility, especially in internal areas.
