Police in Ras Al Khaimah has seized 361 unlicensed motorcycles, according to Brigadier Ghanem Ahmed Ghanem, Director-General of Central Operations.

Brig. Ghanem said riders of these unlicensed motorbikes put their lives and others’ lives at risk. Also, these motorcycles  were noisy, disturbing people in residential areas.

General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Naimi, police chief of Ras Al Khaimah, said a campaign against unlicensed motorcycles, which began in early February, will last six months, covering all areas of the emirate.

Brigadier Ghanem said the campaign against unlicensed motorcycles aims to reduce road accidents involving two-wheelers.

He called on parents to educate their children about the dangers of driving these motorcycles.
