Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director, General Department of Traffic in Dubai, called upon road users (drivers and pedestrians), to abide by traffic rules so as not to risk their own lives and that of others, during the month of Ramadan.

As per statistics, there were 201 traffic accidents recorded during Ramadan last year, which resulted in the death of 10 people, and left 147 injured.

He urged public to cooperate with the police and inform the operations room on toll free no #8004353 of any motorist not abiding by traffic rules.

Col. Mazroui said police will make all efforts to ensure the roads are safe with increased patrols during peak hours.

Police patrols will not only be on main roads but also in internal roads and in front of mosques, he added.
