The evening paid parking timing in Dubai has been modified by the Traffic and Roads Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

The evening session hours are now from 7pm to 12am (midnight) while the timing of the morning session remains unchanged from 8am to 1pm.

Adjusting the public parking timing comes in the context of the RTA’s strategy to develop integrated solutions of roads systems matching the comprehensive development plans of Dubai. The move also reflects the RTA’s mission to deliver top-quality services to the public.

Maitha Bin Udai, CEO of the Traffic and Roads Agency, said: “The decision aims at streamlining the use of public car parks as the density of traffic movement in the markets and business districts shifts during the holy month of Ramadan from day time to post-Iftar time. The decision helps streamline the flow of traffic in all districts of the emirate, reduces individual parking violations, and ensures greater accessibility of parking lots during the peak times of Ramadan.”

Maitha said the revised parking timing will be displayed on all signage of public parking as well as parking machines across the emirate.
