RTA auctions off distinctive plates on March 11

In its 94th Open Auction, the first in 2017, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering a galaxy of striking licensing plates comprising two, three, four and five-digit codes. The auction, which will take place in Godolphin Ballroom, Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai on March 11, will offer 80 eye-catching plates. Registration for the auction starts on Saturday March 4 and continues for a week.

Sultan Al-Marzooki, Director of Vehicles Licensing, RTA Licensing Agency, said, “The recent open auctions saw huge footfall from various community segments; which contributed immensely to realizing our strategic goal of bringing happiness to people. This has promoted us to offer another chance for the public to engage in positive bidding for their fancied numbers in various codes.

“About 80 plates will be on offer in the forthcoming auction where binary numbers are highlighted by (U 66), triple plates topped by (Z 777), quadruple numbers are featured by (M 2222) and quintet plates are topped by (S 90000). During the auction, the RTA will make a draw on Plate (N 572) and offer it as a complimentary gift to one of the attending bidders as a means of bringing added happiness to clients.

“Interested bidders can register in RTA’s Customers Happiness Centers at Umm Al Romool, Deira, and Al Barsha. They can also register through RTA’s website (www.rta.ae), or Drivers & Vehicles app, and each participant is required to have a traffic file in Dubai,” explained Al-Marzooki.

Registration for the auction will remain open until the day of the auction, and bidding will start at 4:30 pm.
