RTA offers quad bike plates online

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has started issuing number plates of quad bikes online.

Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Director of RTA Vehicles Licensing, said: “The new service is aimed at streamlining the process of registering quad bikes in a bid to enhance security and safety.”

“About 15,000 of 4 and 5-digit distinguished number plates of quad bikes have been issued online with unit prices ranging from Dh500 to Dh1,110. This initiative will encourage quad bike owners to buy these plates, exercise full rights of owning these numbers and thus protect their quad bikes from theft. Currently we are experiencing a high season for the use of quad bikes; the numbers of which are sharply on the rise, particularly in the desert; which is another reason prompting owners to buy these numbers,” said Abdullah.

“These plates are accessible online through registering in RTA website (www.rta.ae) where potential buyers will be treated to a simple process and have the liberty to buy their fancied plates in a stress-free environment and time-saving process, or else they can report to customer service centres in Dubai to have this process completed for them,” said the director of RTA Vehicles Licensing.
