The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched 'Rukhsati' (My License) initiative with the aim to enhance the efficiency of drivers testing services starting from booking the test appointment up to the obtaining of the driver license.
This initiative, which is coordinated with driving institutes and centers, enables applicants select by themselves test appointments that suit them via touch screens in a transparent manner safeguarding the rights of all driving trainees.
"This initiative would have an obvious and substantial contribution towards meeting the needs of applicants of driver licenses, and adding to their happiness through slashing the waiting time for fixing test appointments.
"It would also maximize their satisfaction through simplifying and controlling the entry of results, activating test appointments, and reducing the time of waiting for fixing test or re-test appointments. It also offers new channels for booking appointments via self-service screens deployed at driving institutes as well as via RTA's Call Center (8009090)," said Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA Licensing Agency.
"Under the initiative, it would be easy to handle comments made by driving trainees through checking the footage of cameras fitted in drive-learning vehicles.
"It would also enable examinees figure out the reasons for failing to pass driving tests. Offices would be opened in driving institutes and centers with the aim of grooming trainees for the test and eliminating test-associated phobia. These offices will explain the reasons for failing tests, and mistakes made during tests to avoid recurrence in future tests," he continued.
The CEO of Licensing Agency further added: 'Rukhsati' initiative would also facilitate & expedite the obtaining of results by upgrading the entry of examinees data through fitting examiners' tablets with 3G sim-cards enabling them to report the result directly to the concerned bodies at the institute or center instead of waiting till the arrival of the examiner at the institute and linking the tablet with the internet as used to be in the past."
It is worth-mentioning that it has been agreed to present a placard to successful examinees in expression of congrats for passing the test and sharing with them the joy of obtaining driver licenses.
