Saudi parents to sell kidneys to treat little son

A Saudi couple offered to sell their kidneys to fund the treatment of their little son who is suffering from serious heart ailment that requires treatment abroad.

Doctors at King Fahd Medical City in the northwestern town of Jouf told the father Ahmed Al Fhuaiqi that his 19-month-old son has to be treated abroad in the absence of local medical services needed for his illness.

“The father was told that the cost of medical treatment for his son abroad is very high,” the Saudi Arabic language daily Ajel said.

“He is now appealing for help while he is also offering his kidney and his wife’s kidney for sale to get the needed funds for his son.”
