If you don’t fancy riding a bicycle to explore the myriad wonders in the $20-billion Downtown Dubai master development, there is a new option: A bus ride.
Emaar Properties, the developer of the master community, has launched a “Boulevard Bus Tour” service that takes you on a sightseeing tour of the Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard that houses iconic attractions such as Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world, Burj Plaza, Burj Park, Dubai Mall, etc.
“… you can hop on hop off at your own leisure and experience the best shopping, entertainment and tourist attractions that Dubai has to offer. The Boulevard Bus Tour really is the only way to discover ‘The Centre of Now’, one icon at a time,” says mydowntowndubai.com.
Tickets for the air-conditioned bus are currently priced at Dh10 (Dh5 each for ticket and fee) with the bus timings being 10 am to 10 pm daily. One can buy tickets at the Dubai Mall Trolley bus kiosks, or At The Top reception or even book online (https://tickets.atthetop.ae/eticketing/HomePage.aspx).
Last month, Emaar launched a push-bike system, a convenient travel mode that promote physical well-being and is environment-friendly.
Docking stations are located along the 3.5 kilometre Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, The Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa metro station, Emaar Square, Burj Park, Burj Plaza, and next to The Dubai Mall. The push-bikes can be rented for 30 minutes up to 24 hours through an easy and flexible process.
The 500-acre Downtown Dubai was launched in 2004 and has a development value of $20 billion.
