Drivers who committed traffic offences in Sharjah will enjoy a 50 per cent deduction during the first four months of 2012 under a government decision enforced on the start of the year.
The decision affects those who committed offences before the end of 2011 and will continue until the end of April as per the decision issued recently by the Sharjah executive council.
“The traffic departments in Sharjah were crowded by offenders on the first day to benefit from the decision,” 'Emarat Al Youm' daily said.
The move is the latest in a series of fine reduction offered by other emirates in the UAE to encourage offenders to pay their accumulating fines.
