A European woman was killed and five others injured in an accident on Al Nad-Sharjah Road.
The driver of a Land Cruiser, a Pakistani national, who was speeding, lost control of the vehicle when he smashed into a sand dune.
While attempting to avoid colliding with it, he lost control of the wheel and the car flipped over.
The police station in Al Madam received a notification at about 8pm on Wednesday and rescue teams rushed to the site.
The injured were transferred to Al Dhaid Hospital, while the European woman, succumbed to her wounds.
The five injured include two Europeans and three Asians.
