Sharjah focus: Maid or alternate mom?

The fifth Family Forum to be held today [Wednesday] at the Sharjah Advisory Council will discuss the important issue of domestic workers.

The theme of the forum is “From a Househelp to an Alternative Mom”.

Organised by the Association of Women's Union in Sharjah and the University College of Motherhood and Family Sciences in Ajman, the forum will host a group of experts and professionals in family issues.

The forum will comprise two sessions to discuss seven topics including Working and housemaids issue for Emirati women; Facts of having housemaids; Problems of bringing housemaids; Housemaids, a need or  luxury?; House workers problems from different aspects; Helping workers, to care or to harm?; Criminal and moral cases of maids, among others.
