Sharjah resident wins title as ‘GCC Happiness and Peace Ambassador’

Dr Rashid Alleem was honoured with the title of ‘GCC Happiness and Peace Ambassador’ award on the occasion of Middle East Super Duet - 2017.

Dr Alleem, Chairman of SEWA, was honoured by the Chairman of VP Group, Aboobacker, in recognition of his pivotal role in promoting and spreading peace and happiness around the world on the occasion of Middle East Super Duet on Friday, May 12, 2017 in Sharjah Expo Centre.

The first edition of Middle East Super Duet was a two months event held from March 15, 2017 until May 12, 2017. The team of Voice of Kerala (VOK) travelled around GCC countries in search of the talented duet team from each GCC countries.

The event drew in a crowd of over 2,000 people who showcased their support and enthusiasm for Middle East Super Duet.

The finals was held on May 12, with contenders from Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE battling for the title. Famous Music Director Gopi Sunder and playback singer Sithara were the judges for the event.

During the event, VOK launched a campaign titled, ‘Happiness and Peace’. The award was seen as a mark of acknowledgement and appreciation for his tireless efforts in fostering peace and happiness around the world and engaging himself with social activities relentlessly.

The winner of The Middle East Super Duet was the Qatar team.
