Al Majaz Waterfront main water rides will continue to entertain visitors even after the highly popular summer water themed activities programme, which ran from the 10th to 17th of August, has culminated.

Speaking about the event’s successful conclusion, Mohammed Fadhil Al Mazroui, Al Majaz Waterfront Manager said, "Waves of Fun provided our visitors with the perfect break to the mid-summer heat. The water rides were extremely popular and Al Majaz Waterfront saw a significant increase in footfall during the event week.

“Therefore, although the main event has come to an end, we will be keeping the major rides – located in the east and west events circle – in place, which means there are still lots of water logged fun to be had by all." He went on to add that Al Majaz Waterfront’s fully automated zero-depth aquatic play area, Splash Park, would of course also still be open to bring much needed relief from the summer heat.

The Dh120 million Al Majaz Waterfront, Shurooq's debut project, was opened March 26 2012, and is situated in Sharjah’s most vital and commercial district on the picturesque Khalid Lagoon. As one of the premier tourist and leisure destinations in Sharjah, it plays host to all major events in the emirate.
