Sheikh Mohammed returns from Bahrain
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, returned to the country following a visit to Bahrain.
Sheikh Mohammed arrived in Manama on Thursday morning boarding Emirates Airbus A380 to participate in the opening ceremony of Bahrain International Airshow 2012.
Sheikh Mohammed and accompanying delegations were received by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Crown Prince of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa as well as a number of Bahraini sheikhs and dignitaries.
King Hamad and Sheikh Mohammed opened the Royal Protocol Hall at the "new Sakhir Airbus" in Manama in the presence of a large crowd of sheikhs, ministers and guests to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Accompanying His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid were Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Director-General of Dubai Government Media Office Ahmad Abdullah Al Shaikh, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman alongside number of accompanying officials.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid and delegates attended a banquet lunch hosted by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Sheikh Mohammed and his accompanying delegation toured the Air Show venue and watched an air display which started with a formation of seven UAE fighter jets performing an impressive aeronautical display.
Sheikh Mohammed said he was pleased with the strong performance made by the UAE pilots. He accompanied King Hamad and Prince Migrin bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud on a tour of the A380.
