Sheikh Zayed Road at standstill; car reportedly flipped over

UPDATE: The accident has now been cleared, according to reports, with free flowing traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road after a car had flipped over, in bound to Abu Dhabi.

If you are headed down towards Jebel Ali or Abu Dhabi this morning, then take note as Sheikh Zayed Road is facing a complete gridlock from interchange four onwards.

According to reports, a car has reportedly flipped over opposite the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel, with at least one lane on the major highway blocked due to this.

Eyewitnesses state that other small accidents have also occurred in the gridlock, but people advising drivers to find alternative routes or “expect hour-long delays.”
