Two people were killed and one injured in traffic-related mishaps in Dubai in the last four days.
While speeding claimed one life, reckless driving led to the death of an unsuspecting pedestrian.
In the latest fatal accident, a young Emirati lost his life in a car collision on Meydan Road on Tuesday evening, reported 'Al Khaleej'. The deceased was speeding and lost control of his vehicle, said Major General Mohammed Saif Al Zaffin, Director-General, Department of Dubai Traffic.
The vehicle rammed into the concrete barrier at about 6.20pm and flipped killing him on the spot.
In another incident of speeding, a motorist ran into a pedestrian in Jebel Ali Industrial Area on Saturday morning. The Indian victim died on the spot while the driver fled the scene.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday a truck collided with a bus on Dubai-Al Ain Road, critically injuring the Pakistani bus driver.
Major General Al Zaffin said there were 2,635 accidents reported last year against 2,686 in 2010.
