SUV crash: School teacher, 6 students dead

Police in Guyana say a high school teacher and six of her students have been killed in a car crash in the South American country.

Authorities say the teacher was driving some of her students back from an annual carnival celebration when the SUV plunged into a canal Friday.

Police believe a flat tire led to the accident. Officials have canceled most of the remaining carnival activities for children following the fatal crash.
