Traffic jam in Downtown Dubai; hour-long delays

There is traffic chaos reported in the Downtown Dubai area on Monday morning, with commuters reporting hour-long delays on the lower deck of the Financial Centre Road, heading towards Dubai Mall from Al Khail.

Commuters are being advised to avoid the stretch, or find alternatives: either by back tracking towards Zabeel Road or the Dubai International Convention Centre and routing back from the Trade Centre Roundabout, or cutting across from DIFC.

Alternatively, another exit on Al Khail Road can also be used.

Meanwhile, Sharjah commuters can also use Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road as alternatives.
