Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the United Arab Emirates, Mustafa Levent Bilgen, today highlighted the strength of existing relations between the two countries.
Speaking during a media briefing about the developments which took place in Turkey recently, the ambassador underlined the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two countries in various spheres.
The Turkish ambassador praised the UAE's position of supporting the constitutional legitimacy and the will of the Turkish people as well as its condemnation of the failed coup attempt which took place in Turkey on 15th July 2016.
He said that his country appreciated the UAE's keen interest in the security and stability of Turkey and its people. He noted that the UAE was among the first countries to declare solidarity with the Turkey's constitutional legitimacy and reject the failed coup attempt.
He described the UAE-Turkish relations as very excellent and said "there is wide cooperation between the two countries in various spheres."
Ambassador Bilgen further gave an overview of the developments in Turkey and noted that the people of Turkey, all Turkish political parties, the parliament and the army, stood firmly with democracy and rejected the coup attempt.
