Two arrested with 60,000 narcotic pills
Two Asians have been arrested on charges of drug peddling in a sting operation. Police confiscated 60,000 narcotic pills, worth about Dh600,000, from their residence and vehicles.
RM and NB have been accused of possessing, dealing and possible abuse of drugs.
One of the accused was arrested from his workplace and the other from a hotel in Al Qusais on December 23.
Major-General Abdul Jaleel Mohammad, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, Dubai Police, said: "It would have been devastating if these pills reached the market, as the confiscated pills were designated to be sold locally."
