Two Asians drown in Umm Al Quwain

Two Sri Lankan men drowned in Umm Al Quwain while they were swimming at separate locations in the northern emirate, a newspaper said on Sunday.

A 23-year-old Sri Lankan was swimming with friends at a hotel pool around midnight on Friday.

His body was found floating in the water in the morning after he drowned late at night in the absence of pool rescuers.

Another 20-year-old Sri Lankan drowned on Friday evening while he was swimming at a UAQ beach. He was rushed to hospital in a serious condition but died on arrival.
