Two held with $51,500 fake notes
A Cameroonian woman and a Mali man have been accused for possessing fake $51,500vnotes.
Following a tip-off, police raided the woman's apartment, in a building behindvDeira Park Hotel, and confiscated forged dollars from a laptop bag and safe.
AK, 29, denied any knowledge of the money and said it could possibly belong to hervroommate.
The same evening BD, 35, returned home and was arrested. He has admitted tovpossessing the money but said that it belonged to someone else.v
Criminal evidence report proved that the notes were forged. Police also found JPGvimages of various currencies in the laptop.
The court adjourned the case for verdict until January 19.v
