The Dubai Criminal Court heard separate cases of two men facing charges of molestations.

While an Egyptian clerk is in the dock for walking into the house of an Iranian housewife and allegedly seeking sex, an Indian salesman has been accused of molesting a Filipina cleaner who worked in the same co-operative society where he was employed.

The Egyptian man, pretending to be a salesman, knocked at the door of AMB, 31, on August 11 around 1pm. Carrying some brochures of a cleaning machine, he asked for the husband of the woman who opened the door. When she said her husband was not at home, he sought entry to the house to brief her about the cleaning machine he pretended to be selling.

Once in the flat, he grabbed her. Under attack, she ran to the bedroom and made a call to her husband.

When the man followed her to the bedroom, the woman screamed and yelled at him to get out of the house. He then insisted on getting her mobile number but left the house as she ran towards the door.

In the other case, the Indian salesman MMN, 24, allegedly cornered the Filipina JJM, 22, who was cleaning an isolated upper floor of the co-operative society premises on August 16. After freeing herself, JJM ran to a friend ZT and told her what happened.

They both went to the office of the director and then called the police, ZT told the prosecution.

Both cases have been adjourned to November 7 for verdict.
