Two men in the dock for 'doubling' dollars

Two Nigerian visitors have been arrested for conning people claiming they had magical powers to double money.

A police official of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Sharjah Police, said the suspects used a rented apartment in Sharjah to dupe people. The suspects used various tools, trinkets and colourful paper and asked people to bring US dollars with them, reported 'Gulf News'. 

"Police caught the duo red-handed while they were trying to double the money.

They also charged people for the tools used," the official said.

Thes have confessed to the crime and said that they were on a visit visa and  planned to flee after they reached their maximum target.

The suspects are currently detained and will be referred to Sharjah Public Prosecution.
