UAE car accidents kill youth, child
A 17-year-old Emarati identified as A.R.A. died in car accident and two others accompanying him were seriously injured when their car flipped over due to high speed on the Al Halila-Khor Khoeer road in Ras Al Khaima, ‘Al Bayan’ newspaper reportss.
The accident took place at 9 pm on Sunday and the car was driven by a 21-year-old identified as S.H., said Colonel Suleiman Mohammed Hassan Al Kizi, Chief of Al Rams Police Station in Ras Al Khaimah.
4-year-old run over
Ajman - A 4-year-old boy of an Arab nationality died after he was run over in an accident in the Al Naumia area of Ajman, ‘Emarat Al Youm’ newspaper reports.
The mother of the child was crossing the road with her two children, one in a stroller (pram), when the deceased child was run over.
According to police reports, the child was immediately transferred, after the accident, to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed hospital in Ajman.
Dr. Abdul Karim Hilmi, head of emergency at the hospital told the newspaper that the child was admitted to the intensive care for four days, but unfortunately, died.
