UAE condemns Ankara bombing

Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the UAE, has condemned the terrorist car bombing which on Sunday struck vehicles in the Kizilay district, downtown Ankara, killing and wounding scores of people.

Gargash reiterated that the government of the UAE stands in solidarity with Turkey in these crucial moments.

The UAE minister said, "The danger of extremism and terrorism seems to have become a daily challenge in the region, as it targets the stability of the countries of the region and the security of citizens and residents in these countries, and threatens their political, economic and social systems."

He noted, "The terrorist attack in Ankara is part of the absurd cycle of violence and mad terrorism which requires a serious stance and persistent co-operation from all of us."

Gargash stressed that for the UAE, the battle to counter extremism and terrorism is a long one. He added, "We all have a collective responsibility because it threatens all of us."

The minister extended condolences to the families of the victims, prayed to Allah to bless the victims with mercy, grant patience and solace to their families and a speedy recovery to the wounded.

UAE condemns terrorist attack in Cote D'Ivoire

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a resort in Cote D'Ivoire on Sunday and claimed the lives of several innocent people.
In a statement released on Monday, the ministry reiterated that the UAE stands by the government and people of Cote D'Ivoire in confronting terrorism. It urged all countries of the world to step up efforts to eradicate the phenomenon of terrorism, which is aimed at undermining global security and stability.
The ministry also re-affirmed the UAE's firm position in rejecting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, regardless of its motives, justifications and sources, and the need to eradicate it and to cut its funding sources.
