The legal term of the compulsory national military service will be extended to 12 months instead of 9 months, the National and Reserve Service Authority of the UAE Armed Forces General Command announced today.
The period of the service is determined by the Federal Law No. (6) for 2014 regarding national and reserve service for Emirati male and female 12th grade holders of a high secondary school certificate.
The resolution will take effect from the date of issuance.
