The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, TRA, has requested all UAE government entities to benefit from the m-Government Initiative Training programme by enrolling their employees in the free courses run by top experts in IT and smart applications.

The programme is part of the TRA’s strategy to support the efforts of government entities aimed to enhance and empower its human cadres and promote the culture of smart government among employees.

The training programme includes all topics and aspects related to developing applications and methods of protection and suitable design that complies with various operating platforms. These courses are run by a group of leading international industry experts who will share their expertise so that attendees can learn and benefit from similar experiences to avoid and overcome challenges that might face the completion of this initiative on the specified time.

Hamad Obaid Al Mansouri, TRA Deputy Director General and m-Government Initiative Director, said, "The launch of the Mobile Government Training programme is a crucial step in the roadmap set for completing the process of transformation towards a smart government by the middle of next year. This programme reflects our unwavering commitment to provide the needed support to organizations and entities of the public sector in all matters related to the development and support of human skills and capabilities involved in the implementation of this qualitative shift which will be reflected positively on all aspects of our daily life."

"The programme’s first training course, held in Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi, witnessed a remarkable attendance and interaction by government employees. This emphasises the importance of this programme and its great educative value. Currently, we are organising two simultaneous courses in Sharjah and Ajman in order to provide the largest number of government employees with this valuable opportunity." commented Majid Al Madhloum, Project Director of the Mobile Government Training programme.

The m-Government Initiative has recently launched a special e-portal that enables users to register for m-Government training programmes.
