The UAE jobs market is witnessing a surge following 14 months of slump from March 2013 until April 2014, with the Monster Employment Index for the UAE rising 25 per cent on the year – the steepest growth among all monitored countries by the index.
If you are looking to get a job or change your current employer in the UAE, these three sectors should be high on your job search list.
According to the latest index, BFSI (banking, financial services and insurance), healthcare and construction (engineering, construction and real estate) are the sectors that are adding most jobs in the UAE and thus increasing employment opportunities for the jobseekers.
BFSI is the top-growth sector by the way of long-term growth in the country with a 17 per cent y-o-y growth. A 12 per cent growth was witnessed in healthcare and the country registered a robust y-o-y growth of 11 per cent in engineering, construction and real estate sector, primarily due to the demand for property in the country.

Regionally, the Index continues to trend on a robust growth path by charting 23 per cent growth year-on-year. Hospitality led all monitored industry sectors by the way of long-term growth. Consumer goods/FMCG, food & packaged food, home appliance, garments/ textiles/ leather, gems & jewellery registered the steepest decline.
