To all the UAE jobseekers, there’s hope to land a job even in the slow summer months, especially in these top job generating sectors.

IT and telecom/ISP, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) and healthcare are the top three industries where candidates should try now and be able land a job.

According to data released by job search engine, Monster.com, these were UAE’s top growth industries last month as compared to May 2014.

IT and telecom/ISP was the top industry to have generated the maximum number of jobs with a 23 per cent growth registered year-over-year. BFSI, on the other hand, saw a 22 per cent and healthcare registered a 21 per cent respectively.

IT and Telecom/ISP has overtaken BFSI on the top job generating sector list. IT and Telecom/ISP was second on Monster’s list when it comes to generating jobs in March 2015 as compared to the same month in 2014. Healthcare follows the same trajectory, as it was third for the period stated above.

BFSI has been a strong performing sector over the past year. According to a previous survey by recruiting firm, Reach, banking & finance is one of the best performing sectors in the job market.

Statics from another recruitment firm Robert Half UAE also point to that. Figures show that professional in banking, accounting and finance, are in demand and this is likely to go up in the months to come.

Healthcare, which has continued with its momentum, is likely to see more demand for personnel as new hospitals and clinics open across the country.

Bayt.com job postings show that vacancies have gone up in the healthcare sector and this demand is only expected to go up by 2020.

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced in December of last year that it recruited 531 nurses from various countries such as India, Philippines and Jordan, in order to increase their numbers in the medical field.

DHA statistics also show that, by 2025, there will be a need for 7,323 doctors and 8,510 nurses, which is expected to surge demand for professionals, keeping the sector strong and bright for jobseekers in this field.
