UAE's November Rain: Min temp@10C

The UAE will experience temperate weather during day time in November and temperatures will dip in the second half of the month, with rain and early morning fog expected, said National Centre of Meteorology & Seismology (NCMS) in its forecast.

"Due to the continues movement of the sun towards the south away from the region, the minimum and maximum air temperatures are decreasing in a range of 4-6 degree centigrade when compared to October," NMCS said on Tuesday.

However, beginning in the second half of the month, the Siberian surface high pressure will gradually affect the country seeing a decline in temperatures, and nights will be more cooler especially over the mountains and over some inland regions.

The country may be affected by the passes of depressions associated with upper troughs, that could see some rainfall. The highest amount of rain during November has been 113.4 mm in 1997 at Tawiyen.

The NCMS also added that as a result of the passage of temperate winds over the Gulf waters towards the country, the relative humidity is increasing, especially during early morning hours, creating light to thick fog formation, especially along the coastal areas. The monthly average relative humidity is expected to be 60 per cent.

The average air temperatures for the month will range between 24 C and 26C, and the average maximum air temperature will be between 28.0 and 32.5 C, and the average minimum temperature between 12.2 and 22.5 C.

The highest maximum air temperature recorded in November was 40.9 C in Falaj Al Mualla in 1987, while the lowest temperature has been recorded 4.1 C at Jabal Jeis in 2009.
