UAE University allocates Dh49m for research projects
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has earmarked a budget of Dh49 million to fund 121 research projects, including a few research partnerships with the top 100 universities around the world, launch an electronic management platform, and start an e-services project on its website.
The focus on the field of scientific research reflected the strategic vision of the university that was in line with the nation’s national agenda of supporting scientific research to develop communities, Dr Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Vice Chancellor of UAEU, said.
He highlighted the leading role of UAEU in promoting knowledge-based economy and achieving sustainable development, focusing on scientific research, and encouraging innovators and inventors in all fields, in compliance with the UAE’s vision towards leadership, excellence and competitiveness.
